I am Frances Williams, a lecturer in Social Sciences at the Division of Teacher Education. I teach courses to trainee teachers doing primary and secondary training and also to students at the undergraduate level. I do incorporate technology as much as possible in my teaching and encourage my students to use the technology at their disposal. In fact, Geography, one of the subjects that I teach, involves extensive use of ICT. My students are enthusiastic about ICT and they use it creatively in producing various assignments. They also use it to communicate with me and their colleagues which facilitates their learning to a great extent.
As a participant in this course, I hope to become more proficient in integrating ICT in the teaching-learning process as well as to enhance my ability to empower teachers to use ICT in the delivery of their lessons.
